God, the supreme Sovereign, has ordained that there should be governing authorities. Every believer is to be subject to these various authorities, even if these authorities are as evil as Nero, the emperor of Rome, who cruelly persecuted Christians.

Mortify
Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry – Colossians 3:5.
Mortify means to put to death. Members are used as a figure of speech, put in place of the various sins that exist in and seek to express themselves through different “members” of the human body.

Are You Serving Little gods or God?
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servant ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness – Romans 6:16.
Who are you really serving, the gods of this world or the Holy Father? He is the only Holy Father, not a man! People say they serve God, but they have made men and women their god.
