Featured Sermon: I Am That I Am
Moses was commission by God to return to Egypt to deliver His people from the bondage of the Egyptians. Pharaoh was afraid the Israelites were becoming too numerous that they would organize and threaten his kingdom. So he made them slaves to kill their spirit and to stop their growth, but the more they were afflicted the more they grew.
Moses had seen how the children of Israel had been treated, and to go back and tell them the God of their fathers had sent him wasn’t enough. He needed something to get their attention to listen and to give them faith. God instructed Moses to tell them “I AM THAT I AM. In other words God was telling them “I am what you need me to be, I am the God of more than enough now and forever.” [read more]
Woman to Woman: Dress to Kill
When we dress, we should take a good look at what we’re putting on. Our dress attire tells a lot about us. As women and especially women of God, we should not want to dress to attract attention to ourselves. We can dress and look good without being provocative. When we dress provocatively, it should be when we’re at home with our husbands. We shouldn’t try to entice anyone except our husbands.
When we dress to bring attention to ourselves we’re asking for trouble and when you seek trouble, you will find it. We need to stop and think what will be the consequences of our actions. Many women have gotten involved with men they thought would be with them for the rest of their lives , but the man they were with only became a one night stand. The one night stand became a medical problem for the rest of their life. [read more]
