About Us

evangelist carolyn lukeEvangelist Carolyn Luke was ordained as an Evangelist in 1991. Prior to her ordination, Evangelist Luke operated in different offices of her home church: secretary, deaconess, praise leader, usher, cook, and custodian.

September 15, 1997 God placed an unction in the spirit of Evangelist Luke to compose a Christian Newsletter. God instructed her to call it Word of Life Ministries.

Evangelist Luke followed the instructions given to her. Newsletters were sent via mail and had about twenty subscribers. In 2001 the Lord gave Evangelist Luke an assistant, her daughter, Angela Vaughn who has been a tremendous blessing to the ministry. Sister Vaughn is editor, web designer, and technical support. Since the Ministry has been placed on the internet, subscribers have grown (as of this writing) from twenty to sixty-four via mail; eighty-two internet subscribers and we receive 3,500 or more visitors per month on the internet.

Word of Life Ministries is a ministry that believes in ministering to the whole man, spirit, soul and body. Evangelist Luke’s desire is to see the body of Christ come into the unity of the faith. The Word of Life Ministries main concerned is to see the people of God understand Scriptures and live a life-style according to the Word of God.

The Word of Life Ministries isn’t concerned about one’s nationality, gender, educational or financial status, we’re concerned about the soul of the individual. We’re not about tradition or religion; we’re about teaching the Word of God that will bring life and encouragement to a sin sick soul.

Word of Life Ministries consist of web-site ministry, prison, pen-pal, hospital ministry, monthly newsletter, bible study, intercessory prayer for those that email their prayer request, feeding the homeless and hungry.

Word of Life Ministries does not solicit donations, our prayer is that as the ministry bless you, you will do a free will offering to help us to further the gospel of Jesus Christ and to help those that are in need.

May God bless you richly as you continue in the faith!
